Chief Guajardo stated that patrolling officers were summoned to the 1700 block of Meza Drive on Sunday, August 9, 2020, 11:00 PM in regard to a disturbance.
Officers arrived and were informed of a male subject who had barricaded himself in a small storage room and was threatening to harm himself.
EPPD Officials attempted to talk the male subject out of the storage room without success.
They would later gain entry to the storage room and after a brief struggle took the 33-year-old male into custody.
It was later determined the male subject was here illegally and remanded to the custody of the U.S. Border Patrol for processing.
