Juan F. Soliz Set to Go to Court for Murdering His Brother

Maverick County authorities are set to begin the jury selection in the coming weeks for Juan Fabian Soliz, who is accused of murdering his own brother back in May of 2023. The case is scheduled to move forward, but could be rescheduled for May depending on any requests from the defendant's attorney.

Back in May 2023, 41-year-old Soliz was arrested by the Maverick County Sheriff's Department after he was found to be the prime suspect for the murder of his own brother, Javier Soliz, 36 years old, at the time of his death. 

The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department and Texas Rangers investigated this tragic incident. 

Many local residents were left speechless and in a horrified state after it was informed that Soliz - at the time of his brother's murder - was out on a $1,000,000 bond in connection with a 2022 murder in the Loma Bonita sector.

Soliz in 2022 was accused of murdering José C. Duron by shooting him in the stomach and then hitting him with a vehicle.

Authorities involved in this case are working diligently to ensure that justice is done.
