Liderados por el Sr. Zachary Dunn, el equipo del Departamento de Estado tenía preguntas clave sobre la necesidad del proyecto e informó al administrador de la ciudad, Homero Balderas.

La ciudad de Eagle Pass ha estado planeando un proyecto de ampliación de carriles durante varios años.
En diciembre, presentaron una solicitud al gobierno federal para obtener el permiso para ampliar el puente existente agregando 6 carriles. El Puente Internacional Camino Real fue construido a finales de los años 90 y se inauguró oficialmente en 1999.
City Meets with U.S. State Department Regarding the Need for Camino Real International Bridge Expansion
On Monday, February 4, 2025, the City of Eagle Pass, alongside their consultant LJA, met with the U.S. State Department to discuss the presidential permit application review process for the Camino Real International Bridge expansion.
Led by Mr. Zachary Dunn, the State Department team had key questions about the necessity of the project and informed City Manager Homero Balderas.
"We provided thorough answers, ensuring a clear understanding of the importance of this 6-lane expansion for our community and international trade. This meeting marks another crucial step forward in securing approval for the presidential permit. We remain committed to making this project a reality and will continue working diligently to enhance our border infrastructure," said Balderas.
The City of Eagle Pass has been planning a lane expansion project for several years.
Back in December, they submitted an application to the federal government to get the permit to expand the existing bridge by adding 6 lanes.
The Camino Real International Bridge was constructed back in the late 90s and officially opened in 1999.
