Carlos Mendoza, 18, was apprehended after a chase that took Sheriff's Officers, Eagle Pass Police and even US Border Patrolmen in high speed pursuit from the scene of the accident which occurred on the same day as one of the deputies noticed that the windows on his GMC Envoy were slightly darker than permissible.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed two rather large military style sacks containing 339 Lbs. of marijuana.
Mendoza was processed and the case remains under investigation by the Maverick County Sheriff's Office.
