The Workforce Center is also accepting applications for summer employment for high school seniors who wish to work after school or on the weekends, stated Jose Faz of the Workforce Center.
They will be offering temporary jobs for students who will be accommodated in both public and private offices in the community.
The goal is for the high school graduates to become economically independent before they continue their college studies in order to have resources and to gain work experience creating references for future work.

Being that April has been designated Fair Housing Month across the country, The Honorable Ramsey English-Cantú made a proclamation and presented it to City Planner Brian Shea at the Special Meeting of The Eagle Pass City Council.

Tuesday's meeting of Eagle Pass City Council had a very important item on the agenda in item number 15 which was consultation with legal counsel and deliberation regarding economic development negotiations regarding matters related to the Airport Feasibility Study and Report which included the CC Winn Family real estate donation offer and possible discussions and negotiations with Maverick County regarding Maverick County Airport.
