City restarts work on public safety headquarters

The City of Eagle Pass continues moving forward after setbacks in the building of the New Public Safety Headquarters.
Mayor Ramsey English Cantu along with EPPD Chief Alberto Guajardo and EPFD Chief Manuel Mello met with the project’s architects to review the details of the construction project this past week.

Felan vs. County appeal to be heard this week

Maverick County and Ethelvina Felan through their attorneys will be presenting their oral arguments at the Texas Fourth Court of Appeals on Wednesday, January 24.
Both parties will continue arguing their stance and will then have to wait for a decision to be rendered in the appeal that Maverick County submitted back in June 2016.
