   The Community Health Investment Modernization Excellence Act which provides funding for community health centers, such as the United Medical Center,  lapsed in September 2017 and did not meet its final deadline for approval. The  funding was extended to provide organizations depending on this bill and the funding needed until March of this year.

CC Winn Boys golf team made their appearance at the Nixon Boys Invitational Jan. 12-13 at The Max Mandel Golf Course in Laredo Texas.  With 12 teams competing and several medalist also taking the stage at the Max.  The Mavericks were paired up with Alexander, EPHS and Uvalde for the first day.  With cool weather in the forecast, the boys had a 30 minute delay due to frost.
