Elm Creek on 277
A one vehicle rollover occurred about three miles past Elm Creek on Friday at approximately 1:00 P.M. with one female involved who was seen being asked if she needed medical attention as her silver in color Pontiac Grand Am with Mexican license plates lay wheels up on the side of the road.
First responders were seen on both sides of the highway directing traffic as the roadway was practically impassable.
According to Sheriff Tom Schmerber, there was one passenger in the vehicle and units from the Maverick County Sheriff's Department, US Border Patrol, the Texas Department of Public Safety, ambulances and an Eagle Pass Fire Truck was dispatched to the scene in case of any fires.
Schmerber stated that there is a slight curve followed by a straightaway which may have surprised the driver of the vehicle causing her to lose control and end up on the opposite side of the road.
The Texas Department of Public Safety will continue investigating the causes of this wreck, yet another on Highway 277.
